Sometimes what we convince ourselves to be the truth, isn’t the only truth that exists. What you believe and what you feel about something will impact your perception of your world and your reality.

If you want things to change, or if you want other people to change… you need to start changing yourself. You can’t change others, but you can change yourself, and that is enough for the dynamic to change between you and somebody else. You are the centre of your Universe. If you decide to change, everything around you will start to change.

Your perception

How you perceive life, it’s the core of how you are experiencing life. What you think about life, yourself, or other people impacts your perception of them.

Your subconscious mind is “the servant” to your conscious mind. If you have some unhealthy beliefs about yourself or life for a long enough time, those beliefs are programmed in your subconscious mind. That means you don’t have to think about them to live them or to act upon them. 95% of your daily routine comes from your subconscious mind. But your subconscious mind will never just program itself.

Subconscious mind and childhood

For the first 7 years of your life, your brain was functioning on a different frequency, and that means your subconscious mind was very much open. Everything you learned, observed, and experienced in the first few years of your life was having its roots in the subconscious mind.

It is because when you are a baby, toddler, or a young enough child you don’t have the vocabulary to express yourself fully. Your first language is play and images. Also, you have and feel every emotion like an adult would do. You feel and understand things without the logical mind to analyse them.

The subconscious mind doesn’t have language, words, or eyes. The language of the subconscious mind is images and feelings.  So, do you see how the first 7 years of your life are very much connected to your subconscious mind? This is the reason why childhood has so much and for so long an impact on us.

Good news!

However, the good news is that you can change your subconscious beliefs.  It will require you to do some work on yourself but if you hold unhealthy or unsupportive beliefs from your childhood, that you no longer want to have, you can change them.

There are a few steps that you can take to do so. But before I will explain them step by step, let me tell you more about your conscious mind and your imagination.

You hold a huge power within yourself and that is your imagination. (Don’t tell me you don’t have it, or that it doesn’t work! You have your brain, so you do have it. Everybody has an imagination, it’s part of every human, and God/Universe makes no mistakes).

Einstein said that imagination is more important and more powerful than logic can ever be. Logic helps you survive on this planet; logic helps you get things done. But it doesn’t help you create things, see things beyond what you think is possible, or have faith in something. All of that is the imagination’s job.

Look around you, everything you see around you that is human-made (apart from pure nature- that’s Mother Nature’s creation) was first created in mind, through imagination. For things to come to life, someone had to imagine them first. Everything is first created in mind.

That is your superpower! Your mind is your power!

Conscious mind

This is where your conscious mind plays an important role. You can choose your thoughts consciously. You can choose what your mind is going to think about. When you choose positive thoughts consciously it will make you feel like you have more control.

This might not be easy, especially when you have not paid much attention to your thoughts until this point, but it’s doable. You can do it.

Another very helpful thing about changing your subconscious mind is knowing exactly what you want or desire. Knowing specifically what you want will help you focus on those things consciously. Knowing what you want will also help you imagine those things.

The more repetitive positive thoughts you will choose, the deeper they will sink into your subconscious mind. Your imagination will project your desires into images in your head and generate your feelings about them. All this process is going to reprogram your subconscious mind.

Summary:

  1. Know your unhealthy beliefs.
  2. Make a choice to change them.
  3. Know what you want. Set a goal.
  4. Choose your thoughts wisely.
  5. Keep imagining the things you want as they already happened.
  6. Feel the change and excitement about it.
  7. Observe and embrace the “magic”.

Simple? Yes! But simple doesn’t mean easy… As I said it will require some work from you and a good dose of self-discipline. But you can do it! I believe in you!
